Lafayette Closes Out Fall With 10th Place Finish at Binghamton

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's golf team closed out the 2002 fall season with a 10th-place finish at the Binghamton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Enjoie Golf Club.

Jesse Morgan was the Leopards' top finisher, placing 30th in the 59-golfer field. Morgan shot an opening-round 80 and followed that with a 79 to finish 15-over-par on the 6919-yard, par-72 course.

Bradley Rock posted a 161 (80-81) to end in a two-way tie for 37th. Sean McMonagle (81-82) and Garett Copp (81-82) both shot rounds of 163 to finish tied for 40th. Joshua Shepard placed 47th with a 165 (83-82).

Led by individual medalist Jay Lindell (73-71-144), St. Bonaventure University beat out 10 other teams for the team title, posting a score of 599 (295-304) in the two-day event. Lafayette managed rounds of 322 and 324 for a 646 and a 10-place finish.
