NEW YORK (AP) - Kirwin Watson ran for 146 yards on 21 carries and scored from 2, 2 and 34 yards out as Fordham outlasted Lafayette 33-26 Saturday to remain in first place in the Patriot League.
Kevin Eakin, threw touchdown passes of 26 and 36 yards to Dudley Javarus as the Rams (6-1 3-0) won their fourth straight game.
Dudley finished with seven catches for 148 yards, tying the school record for career receptions with 164. He also set the school record for career receiving yards with 2,404, breaking the mark of Tom Garlick, who had 2,318 from 1989-92.
The second touchdown pass of 39 yards from Eakin to Dudley at 2:06 of the third quarter put Rams ahead for good at 27-23. Watson clinched the victory with his 34-yard run with 2:02 to play in the game.
Marko Glavic connected with John Weyrauch on scoring passes of 22 and 10 yards for the Leopards (4-4 2-1). Glavic completed a school-record 34-of-51 passes for 295 yards, and Weyrauch had a school-record 12 receptions for 106 yards.
Martin Brecht kicked field goals of 41 and 35 yards for Lafayette, which took its only lead at 23-20 when Joe McCourt scored on a 1-yard run at 8:35 of the third quarter.
