EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette football team completed its second day of two-a-day practices at Metzgar Fields in 90-degree heat. The practices again consisted of the Leopard freshmen working out in jerseys, shorts and helmets.
The upperclassmen reported to College Hill this morning and the full squad will practice together for the first time on Thursday. The Leopards will meet together as a full team this evening before breaking into positional meetings.
For the freshmen, Wednesday will be a day off from practice, with the players participating in several academic seminars. The upperclassmen will spend the day going through running and strength testing.
Preseason camp continues until Aug. 26 when classes begin. The Leopards open the 2002 season Sept. 7 when they host Monmouth at 1 p.m. at Fisher Field.
