EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette Football coaches and staff and the Maws & Paws parents group have organized a Family Photo Day starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, for families of the Leopards to kick off the 2002 season. Following a fun, informal morning session of photographs and tailgating, the Leopards' junior varsity team hosts Milford Academy in the opening game of the season at Metzgar Fields.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
10:00 to 10:45 a.m. -- Family Photographs
We invite you to bring along your camera and lots of film. The players will be wearing game jerseys, without pads, for photos with family and friends on Fisher Field. A professional photographer will be on hand to informally photograph the players with their families.
10:45 a.m. -- Welcome and Introductions
Head coach Frank Tavani will address the families and introduce the coaches and staff.
11:00 a.m. -- Junior Varsity Players Depart
The coaches and junior varsity players will depart for the game. Photographs of the families of varsity players may continue.
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. -- Tailgate Picnic
Families are invited to tailgate on the lower level of the parking deck behind Markle Hall. Bring folding tables and chairs for your comfort.
1:00 p.m. -- Junior Varsity vs. Milford Academy at Metzgar Fields
The Lafayette junior varsity football team hosts Milford Academy. Please bring your own seating, as there are no bleachers near the field. Restrooms are available at the field house.
