VESTAL, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - Binghamton scored two goals in the second half of the game and posted a 2-1 win over Lafayette on Friday afternoon at West Gym Field.
After the two teams battled through a scoreless first half, Lauren Massey scored from about 30 yards out to give Binghamton a 1-0 lead at 65:08.
Kati Kochersperger (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) then scored off a crossing pass from Briana Rinchiuso (Norwell, Mass./Norwell) to pull the Leopards even at 83:16.
Binghamton punched in the game-winning goal 23 seconds later when Tracey Kasmarcik headed the ball into the net.
Ashley Wesmiller made six saves in goal for the Leopards.
The Leopards will return to action Sept. 7 when they travel to Mount St. Mary's for a 1 p.m. game.
