Final Stats

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Katie Morton scored the game-winning goal with less than two minutes remaining in the game to give Lafayette a 3-2 victory over Wagner on Wednesday night at Metzgar Field.

Morton took a pass from Meghan Ramsey and beat the Wagner defender for the deciding score at 88:22. The goal was Morton's first of the season.

Miriam Habeeb started the scoring with her first goal of the season, taking a cross from Kerrie Kiley and finding the back of the net at 11:02.

After Wagner tied the game at 1-1 on an own goal, Emily Myers beat goalkeeper Dana Honcharuk just 30 seconds into the second half. Habeeb picked up the assist on that goal for her third point of the night.

Jennifer Spadifino again brought Wagner even with her third tally of the season at 82:40.

Leopard senior goalkeeper Ashley Wesmiller made two saves on the night.

Lafayette (2-1) returns to action on Friday when the team travels to Fordham for a 4 p.m. game. The Leopards return to Metzgar Field on Sept. 17 for a 7 p.m. contest against Iona.
