LEWISBURG, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Led by a 14th-place finish from freshman Mike Aarts, the Lafayette golf team captured ninth place at the Bucknell Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the par-70 Bucknell University Golf Club.

Aarts shot a 153 with an opening round of 74 and a final round 79 to finish tied for 14th at 13-over-par for the tournament. Jeremiah O'Neill finished tied for 25th with a 156 (76-80).

Josh Shepard placed 47th (79-82-161), Sean McMonagle 64th (78-88-166) and Garrett Copp (85-83-168) tied for 71st.

The Leopards shot a 631 (307-324) for the tournament. Binghamton took home the team title with a 587 that included the three top three finishers. Joe Kunz was the tournament medalist with a 145 (71-74).
