EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Pennsylvania senior tailback Stephen Faulk rushed for three first-half touchdowns as the Quakers handed Lafayette its first loss of the season, 52-21, on Saturday afternoon at Fisher Field.

Faulk scored on runs of four, 12 and 24 yards to give Penn (1-0) a 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Lafayette's (2-1) first score came when quarterback Marko Glavic found Jeremy Burkes down the left sideline for a 66-yard touchdown strike. With the completion, Glavic eclipsed the 5,000-yard passing mark for his career.

Penn's Joe Phillips tossed a 32-yard score to Erik Bolinder, Peter Veldman kicked a 24-yard field goal and Fred Plaza returned an interception 19 yards to stretch the Quakers' lead to 38-7 at halftime.

Leopard sophomore tailback Brandon McCloud cut the Quaker lead to 38-14 with a one-yard touchdown run at 8:11 of the third quarter. The score capped a 13-play, 78-yard scoring drive that was highlighted by Tim Walsh's catch of a tipped pass at the one-yard line.

Glavic finished the day 16-of-34 with two touchdowns and three interceptions, while Penn quarterback Mike Mitchell was 16-of-29 with one touchdown and no interceptions.
