EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The inaugural Lafayette Football Chili Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 at Fisher Field prior to the Leopards' football contest with 12th-ranked Colgate at 12:30 p.m. The taste testing and voting will begin at 11 a.m. for all fans in attendance and will take place on the plaza in front of the Kirby Sports Center atrium.
A number of local restaurants are set to have entries into the first-time event, including Almond Tree Manor, the Bluetone Cafe, Larry Holmes' Ringside Restaurant, Hartman's II and Tastebudz. The champion as voted on by the fans will be honored with a trophy presentation at halftime.
