ISSUE, Md. (www.lafayette.edu) - Michael Aarts shot an 83 to lead Lafayette to a 15th place finish at the George Washington Invitational on Monday at the Swan Point Yacht and Country Club.

Aarts finished in a tie for 34th place. Lafayette's Jeremiah O'Neill, Derek Downing, and Bradley Rock all tied for 69th place with a score of 88. Garett Copp rounded out the Lafayette golfers, finishing 86th while carding a 90.

The event was scheduled for two rounds, but rain on Sunday forced it to be shortened to just one round on Monday.

Yale's Neel Williams took home the medallist honors, firing a one-over par 73 on the course that played at 6,761 yards. Princeton captured the team title with a score of 309, beating out Yale by three strokes in the 22-team field.
