EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Preseason camp continued for the Lafayette football team on Thursday with some minor changes to the schedule.

A freshman-only practice was held at 6:30 a.m., while the entire team met at 9 a.m. to assist with Move-In Day on campus. All incoming Lafayette freshmen began orientation at 2 p.m. on Thursday, while the football upperclassmen suited up for a 3 p.m. practice. Thursday's position and team meetings were to be attended only by the upperclassmen as the freshmen continued with orientation activities.

Preseason camp comes to an official close on Sunday with the entire squad in full gear for a pair of practices. The morning session starts at 8:15 a.m., with the afternoon practice getting underway at 4:15 p.m.

Lafayette held its annual football media day on Wednesday. Fourth-year head coach Frank Tavani addressed the assembled media and introduced his coaching staff and seniors on the 2003 squad. Following the event, a punt, pass and kick competition was held for the members of the media. Paul Plattenberg of RCN held off a late comeback attempt by Gary Laubach of the Lafayette Sports Network to take the title.
