CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) -Binghamton's Keith Hendrickson finished two under par with a two-day score of 142 to lead the Bearcats to victory at the Third Annual Lafayette Golf Invitational held at the Center Valley Golf Club.
Binghamton pulled away from the field on the second day of play, finishing with a two-day team total of 586. The second place team of Siena finished 29-over with a team score of 605. Fordham (610), Connecticut (611) and Robert Morris (611) rounded out the top five teams.
Individually, Eric Couture of St. Francis posted a two-day total of 143 to claim second place. NYU's Brian Berkey, Fordham's Gabe Allen, Canisius' Rob Krajewski and Binghamton's Aaron Ungvarsky all finished two over par with scores of 146 to tie for third.
Lafayette's Jeremiah O'Neill and Bradley Rock both finished 12-over with two-day scores of 156 to tie with six other players for 39th place. Michael Aarts shot 157 to tie for 47th, while Derek Downing, David Rahal and Garett Copp tied for 67th with scores of 160.
Paul Burke (77th, 162), Mike Troxell (102nd, 166) and Billy Simmermacher (114th, 171) also competed for the Leopards.
The Lafayette golf team will be back in action on April 15th at the Monmouth Quad Match held at the Diamond Country Club in West Long Branch, N.J.
