EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Despite being hit hard by graduation, the defending Patriot League champion Lafayette Leopards look poised to defend their title after an undefeated spring season. The Leopards outscored their opponents 10-2 during the five-game spring schedule, including a run of three consecutive shutouts to start the season.
The Leopards' spring slate included 2-0 wins over Moravian, East Stroudsburg and La Salle, and 2-1 wins over Philadelphia University and Stony Brook. Seniors Nathan Jolly and Victor Krasij will captain the Leopards next season, who are coming off of an 11-6-3 campaign that culminated with a Patriot League Tournament championship over Lehigh and the school's third NCAA Tournament appearance where they fell to Rutgers.
Coach Dennis Bohn's squad kicks off play next fall on Sept. 1 at Hartwick.
