Lafayette Friends of Football, in conjunction with the Maroon Club, is sponsoring a tailgate open to all fans who will be traveling to Boone, N.C. for the Leopards' first round I-AA playoff game at Appalachian State on Saturday.
The day's festivities will get underway at 11:30 a.m. at Duck Pond Field, located on Stadium Drive, adjacent to Trivetta Dining Hall and the stadium lot. That lot is for reserved parking only, but parking is available in the parking deck on Rivers Street (fee parking), on Rivers Street bike lanes and in the parking lot of Raley Hall. The tailgate and parking options are all located within a short walk of Kidd Brewer Stadium.
The tailgate is free and all Lafayette alumni, parents and friends of the football program are welcome to attend. A southern menu of chopped pork and chicken, along with a variety of beverages, will be provided by the Friends of Football.
