HAVERFORD, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Nine Lafayette fencers competed at the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association Championships, held last weekend at Haverford College.
Andrew Kopelman (epee) and Bredan O'Dea (foil) both finished with individual records of 7-6 to lead the team. The foil squad, on the strength of O'Dea, Mark Lodato (6-7) and Mathew Ingraham (6-6), placed eighth in the 14-team field.
Lafayette was 10th overall at the championship. Johns Hopkins went home with the title, while Haverford and Drew rounded out the top three.
Other Leopards competing were Robert Boguski (4-8) and Dave Watrous (4-9) in the epee, and Zach Guilfoyle (1-12) and Kim Ferguson (5-8) in the sabre.
