CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Bryan Bigley of Siena shot a one-under par 70 on Saturday to win the Lafayette Invitational at Center Valley with a two-day score of 142.

American, the only squad to crack 300 on either day, claimed the team title by six shots over St. Bonaventure. Kevin Horan carded a 72 on both days and was second in the event with a 144. The Eagles' Alex Wenzel held a share of the first round lead and was one of three golfers to tie for fourth place.

Jeremiah O'Neill was the only golfer to break 70 on the weekend, firing a 69 to lead the Lafayette (White) squad to a ninth place finish in the field of 23 teams. There were 118 golfers competing in the event.

Ryan Mikita of Robert Morris, whose round of 71 on Friday included a hole-in-one, recorded a 74 on Saturday to finish third.

St. Bonaventure was paced by Josh Anderson, who followed his round of 74 with a 72 on Saturday for a top-six placement. The Bonnies posted a team score of 601.

Lafayette was among the top five squads on Saturday, recording a 304. Billy Simmermacher shot a 75 and Garett Copp and Dave Rahal both checked in with 80's.

Charles Waddell of Bucknell was also involved in the tie for fourth. The Bison were five strokes ahead of Lafayette with a 616. Lehigh was five shots behind the Leopards to give the Patriot League four of the top 12 teams. Colgate finished with a 639.

Niagara and Siena finished in a deadlock for third. Robert Morris was fifth, Delaware sixth, and defending champion Binghamton placed seventh. 2002 champ Duquesne rounded out the top 10.
