HAMILTON, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's golf team posted a score of 327 in the opening day of the Colgate Invitational at Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y. Saturday. The Leopards stand 16th heading into Sunday's action on the par-72 course.

Lafayette senior Tom Palmer was the team's low-man, finishing tied for 35th overall with a round of 78.

Sophomore Pat Kelly finished with a round of 81, while junior Billy Simmermacher shot an 83. Junior Dave Rahal and sophomore Brandon Mitchel ended the day with rounds of 85 and 87, respectively.

The Leopards continue action at Seven Oaks Sunday, Sept. 11.
