HAMILTON, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's golf team finished its season-opening tournament at the Colgate Invitational Sept. 10-11 at Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y.
With only the top four players' scores earning credit for the team, the Leopards shot 327 both days for a combined score of 654 and finished 16th on the par-72 course.
For the second consecutive day, senior Tom Palmer was the Leopards' low man with an 81. He shot 78 in the opening day on Saturday, finishing +15 overall. Palmer finished tied for 44th.
Junior Dave Rahal shot a round of 80, while classmate Billy Simmermacher and sophomore Pat Kelly finished with 83 and 85, respectively.
The Leopards return to action Sept. 15-17 at the Bucknell Fall Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
