EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette and Monmouth played for 110 minutes, but neither side was able to produce a goal as the Leopards and Hawks fought to a 0-0 draw in double overtime in women's soccer on Tuesday night at the Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex.
Monmouth outshot Lafayette, 10-7, and held an 8-1 advantage in corners but was unable to get one past Leopards' goalkeeper Mary Kate Erdman, who made seven saves.
Addie Kozlowski had five saves for the Hawks.
Caroline Tuttle recorded three shots for the Leopards (1-2-2), while Kate Sands got off three shots for Monmouth (1-3-1) to lead their respective attacks.
The scoreless tie is Lafayette's first since Sept. 27, 2003, when Bucknell visited Easton for a Patriot League match.
Both home matches for Lafayette in 2005 have ended in draws, as Mount St. Mary's and the Leopards both put up three goals on Sept. 3.
The squad will be on the road for three games, starting at Iona on Friday, Sept. 16, before they return home to host Fordham on Monday, Sept. 26.
