Lafayette Golf Improves On Day Two Of Bucknell Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - After a 17th-place finish in the opening day of the Bucknell Fall Invitational, the Lafayette men's golf team improved to 15th on day two of the tournament at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Course Saturday, Sept. 17.

Lafayette tied La Salle out of the Atlantic 10 with an overall score of 930.

The top four finishers for the Leopards contributed to the team's overall score for the weekend. For the fourth consecutive outing, Tom Palmer was the Leopards' low-man with a final round of 76. The senior finished at +19 overall and placed tied for 42nd.

Freshman Anoop Shah ended the tournament tied for 53 with rounds of 81, 72, and 78 on the 6,356-yard course. Junior Kyle Manjuck (238) and freshman Kenneth Suarez (243) also earned credit for the 'Pards.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies won the invitational with an overall team score of 858, while host Bucknell finished one stroke behind to take second.

Lafayette returns to action at the Cornell Fall Invitational Sept. 24-25 at Robert Trent Golf Course.
