OCEAN CITY, Md. - The Lafayette men's golf team returned to College Hill following a solid weekend of competition at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational. The Leopards finished in the middle of the pack at seventh overall, led by junior Kyle Manjuck's top ten outing.
Manjuck turned in a ninth-place performance, tying Pace University's Mike Dominici at nine over par. Pace took the team title, while host the host Spartans finished second. Manjuck carded a 153 (79-74) on the par-72 Rum Pointe Golf Course.
Freshman Anoop Shah continued his first collegiate spring run, tying for 27th with a 159 (82-77) for the weekend. Four strokes behind, junior Dave Rahal shot a 163 (82-81), which also tied him for 35th.
Also competing for the Leopards were senior Tom Palmer and Pat Kelly, who registered a 175 and 176, respectively.
LeMoyne's Dan McCarthy finished even with a 144 (73-71) to top the 70-person field.
Next on the Leopards' slate is another spring tournament hosted by Monmouth beginning on Sunday at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood, N.J.
