EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Playing for pride in the Lehigh Valley, the Lafayette golf team came in second at the Lehigh Valley Quad Match on Tuesday afternoon at Northampton Country Club.
Junior Kyle Manjuck shot an even 72 at the Leopards' home course, which was good enough for him to take top honors at the match. The event hosted Lehigh (393), Moravian (406) and Muhlenberg (407). Lafayette took second with a 400.
Other top finishers for the Leopards included Clint Smith, carding an 80 (39-41), Anoop Shah (39-42-81) and Chris Johnston (40-42-82).
Manjuck won the match by a full three strokes, while Lehigh's Jason Moloney turned in a 75 (40-35) to steal second.
The Leopards return to action for the pivitol Patriot League Championship this weekend. Navy plays host, as the teams gather in Annapolis beginning on Saturday.
