Golf Opens Fall Slate at Colgate Invitational

HAMILTON, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - Anoop Shah led Lafayette with an 11-over par 155 in its season-opening event at the Colgate Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at Seven Oaks Golf Course. A total of 17 teams and 85 golfers competed on the par-72 course in Hamilton, N.Y.

Shah paired rounds of 77 and 78 to pace the Leopards by one stroke over Matt Ehrlich, who shot a 75 on Sunday to finish with a two-day score of 156. Shah and Ehrlich were tied for 31st and 39th, respectively.

Brandon Mitchel and Billy Simmermacher both shot 82's on Saturday, then came back with rounds of 79 on Sunday for a total of 161. Pat Kelly rounded out the Leopards' participants with a 163.
