STANTON, Del. - The Lafayette men's golf team competed in the Scotty Duncan Memorial at the White Clay Creek Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday. The Leopards placed twelfth out of sixteen teams. Freshman Erik Adolfsson was Lafayette's top-finisher with a combined two-day score of 156.
Adolfsson was second after the first two rounds, shooting 2-under par on Saturday and finished the tournament in four-way tie for 26th place. With a score of 160, senior Brandon Mitchel finished tied for 45th place and a score of 160.
Junior Steven Melnic had a combined score of 163 and improved from 62nd after the first two rounds to finish tied for 55th. Senior Pat Kelly and junior Pat Gallagher also competed for the Leopards with scores of 174 and 176, respectively.
The fall golf season continues in Binghamton, N.Y. when the team competes Friday at the NBT Bank Collegiate Classic. Tee time is set for 10 a.m.
