EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision on Saturday afternoon at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium. Nine seniors were honored to their dedication and commitment to the Lafayette program in a pre-game ceremony before kick-off.
The Leopards outshot the Crusaders 15-14, including several chances in the second half but were unable to find the back of the net. Seniors Brittany Downham and Caroline Tuttle both racked up three shots for Lafayette.
The Leopards also held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks, creating numerous opportunities in the Crusader defensive zone.
Holy Cross freshman Caitlin Belanger scored the game's only goal at the 44:15 minute mark of the first half to give the Crusader's the eventual game-winner.
Lafayette senior goalkeeper Mary Kate Erdman recorded one save in her final time out in the Maroon and White.

The Lafayette women's soccer class of 2007 are Brittany Downham, Mary Kate Erdman, Arielle Fields, Megan Hillin, Alison Hingley, Kelly Koreyva, Caroline Tuttle, Caitlin Uff and Ashley Yelland.
