Final Stats

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Lafayette men's golf team completed its season-opening tournament at the Colgate Invitational Sept. 8-9 at Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y. The Leopards ended Sunday tied for 13th with a combined score of 648 (326, 322).

Only a team's top four players' scores earned credit at the tournament and senior Brandon Mitchel led the way for the Leopards. Mitchel shot an 80 both days, finishing +16. Newcomers Erik Adolfsson and Tyler Ostrovsky also registered points for the team.

Adolfsson shot an opening round of 80 followed by an 81 on Sunday to finish the invitational at +17. Ostrovsky shot a 78 on Sunday, the lowest round by a Leopard, after opening on Saturday with a round of 86.

Junior Steven Melnic rounded out the Leopards scorers, finishing right behind Ostrovsky with a combined score of 164 (81, 83).

The Leopards return to action Sept. 13-14 at the Bucknell Fall Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
