LEWISBURG, Pa. - After two days of competition at the Bucknell Invitational, the Lafayette men's golf team finished tied for 15th after four rounds of golf. Rookie Tyler Ostrovsky was the Leopards' top-finisher with a final score of 233.
Ostrovsky finished tied for 52nd with rounds of 79, 78 and 79. Senior Brandon Mitchel shot an opening round of 84 and made up ground with two rounds of 79 and 77. Mitchel finished the weekend with a score of 240 and tied for 70th.
Senior Chris Johnston finished 74th at the invitational shooting rounds of 81, 80 and 83.
Freshmen Erik Adolfsson and Clay Solomon finished with scores of 246 and 252, respectively. Adolfsson was consistent throughout the weekend shooting 82 every round. Solomon started with a round of 88 on day one and shot 82 the next two rounds.
Classmate Cody Sumpter also competed for Lafayette and recorded a score of 240 with rounds of 80, 78 and 82.
Leopards' golf continues the season in Ithaca, N.Y. at the Cornell Invitational on Sept. 28.
