Annapolis, Md. - The Lafayette women's volleyball team dropped its second Patriot League match of the weekend with a 3-1 loss at Navy. Sophomore Kayly Elmer recorded a double-double with a match-high 19 kills and 11 digs.
Lafayette (6-11, 1-3) dropped the opening set 28-15. The team rebounded to win the second by a score of 25-12, more than doubling the Midshipmen in points. Navy (12-5, 2-2) bounced back, however, to win the final two sets 25-23 and 25-22.
Freshman Ally Taylor and junior Cara Mulholland joined Elmer in double-digit kill totals with 10 and 12, respectively. Taylor also added in four block assists. Junior Kari Horn tied for the match-high with 18 digs while senior Megan Carter led all players with 42 assists.
The Leopards return to action next weekend when they travel to Lehigh on Friday for a 7 p.m. match.
