Lafayette Golf Finishes Fourth at Hawk Invitational

DEAL, N.J. - The Lafayette golf team finished fourth among six schools competing in the Hawk Invitational hosted by Monmouth University. Freshmen Tyler Ostrovsky and Cody Sumpter led the Leopards with top-20 finishes.

Ostrovsky finished one shot ahead of his teammate Sumpter with a round of 78. Ostrovsky was tied for 13th while Sumpter shot a 79 and tied for 16th.

Freshman Andrew Carlins and sophomore Reed Valutas were just shy of the top-20 finishing 21st and 25th, respectively Carlins shot 82 and Valutas ended the invitational with an 87.

Senior Pat Kelly was the final Lafayette player competing on Tuesday and was 31st with a 92. This was his final collegiate competition as one of three seniors on the golf team.
