BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Erik Adolfsson finished 16th overall and the Lafayette men's golf team placed seventh, with a score of 609 out of 18 teams at the 2010 Lincoln Mercury Intercollegiate, presented by Seton Hall, at the Fiddler's Elbow Country Club.
The par-72, 7,014 yard course hosted Binghamton, Colgate, Delaware, Drexel, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fordham, Lafayette, Lehigh, LIU, Monmouth, Rider, Rutgers, Saint Francis (Pa.), Saint Peter's, Seton Hall, Temple, Villanova and Wagner over the weekend.
Binghamton won the event with a two-round total of 587, 5 shots ahead of second place Temple. Delaware's Justin Martinson took first place with a total of 141 (77-64).
Adolfsson shot 77-73 to finish with carding a 150 for the weekend. Josh Feinberg (77-77) finished 31st with a total of 154. Tyler Ostrovsky (75-80) and Carter Rufe (81-74) both finished tied for 38th with a total of 155 while Dave Kafafian rounded out the five man team with a 157 (82-75).
The Leopards are back on the course in the spring as the reigning Patriot League Championships open the season March 26 at Monmouth University.
