EASTON, Pa. - After posting a shutout in just his third career start for the Lafayette men's soccer team, junior Graham Heydt has been named the BRINE Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week. Heydt made two saves in Tuesday's 1-0 overtime blanking of Cornell.
A Mathematics-Economics major from Northbrook, Ill., Heydt has started two matches this season - both overtime wins for the Leopards. In 198:00 in goal, he is 2-0-0 with a 0.91 goals-against average and a .714 save percentage. Heydt also posted a clean sheet in his lone start of 2009.
Heydt joins senior Andrew Pianko as the Leopards' Goalkeeper of the Week recipients this season. The two Lafayette net-minders are the first pair of teammates to win the award in the same season since 2006.
