Men's Lax Excels in Classroom During Breakout Season

June 30, 2010

EASTON, Pa. - During a season that saw the most wins since the 1984 campaign, the Lafayette men's lacrosse team continued to showcase their excellence in the classroom, leading the Patriot League with 27 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll today.

Leading the way was Stewart Inman '10 and senior Tyler Silvey, who both notched a 3.92 grade-point average in the spring semester.

In total, three freshmen, four sophomores, 12 juniors and members of the Class of 2010 saw their way onto the list.

It was a season on firsts for the Lafayette, as it captured its first win over nationally-ranked opponents (Navy and Bucknell), saw itself in the national rankings for eight consecutive weeks and earned the school's first-ever Patriot League Tournament berth.

The Leopards return to College Hill in August and will prepare for their fall ball schedule throughout the first semester.
