EASTON, Pa. -
The start of the 2011 season is more than four months away, but the Lafayette volleyball team has been hard at work this spring. The Leopards have participated in several service events this semester at Lafayette and in the Easton community, including host their own "Fun Fitness Days".
The pair of "Fun Fitness Days" were hosted in conjunction with the Lafayette College Early Learning Center early this month. The Leopards invited children ages 3-5 from the Center to participate in two days of sports, games and dancing at Kamine Gym.
In addition to hosting their own events, the Leopards have taken part in several campus-wide initiatives. The volleyball program volunteered at Lafapalooza - Lafayette's designated National Day of Service - and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee 5K to benefit Lauren's First and Goal Foundation for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research. In the upcoming weeks, the Leopards will also be lending a hand at Relay for Life and Youth Empowerment Day.
