Final Results 
EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette golf team held a two stroke lead after 36 holes on day one at the Bucknell Invitational, but was unable to hold on for the victory after shooting +15 in the final round. Lafayette finished behind tournament winner Longwood (857) and Patriot League rival Army (866) in the two-day event.
The 12-team tournament was held at the Bucknell Golf Course, a par-70 course totaling 6,224 yards. Lafayette carded an 869 as a team and was followed by Bucknell (872), Navy (875), Lehigh (877), Canisius (880), Colgate (880), Fordham (882), Laval (888), Messiah (902), Bucknell Blue (903) and Ottawa (927).
Carter Rufe led the Leopards with a 54-hole total of 213, including a second round 68, which was the lowest score posted by a Lafayette player in the tournament.
Mike Zausmer finished one stroke behind Rufe, carding a 214. Zausmer's first round 70 led Lafayette after 18 holes and he finished with a 71 and 73 in the final two rounds.
Senior Rob Robertson carded a 220, with his low round coming in the first 18, shooting 71, 75, 74. Josh Feinberg shot 76, 73, 74 in his three rounds and tied for 33rd overall.
Freshman Phil Rosengarden was the model of consistency in each round, shooting three identical rounds of 75, good for a 38th place finish.
Longwood's Austin Gray scored the lowest total of the match, carding a two-under, 208.
Lafayette's next match is a one-day event on Sept. 22 at the MU Quad Match hosted by Monmouth in Deal, N.J.
