Final Results

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette golf team participated in the Monmouth Quad Match on Thursday afternoon in Deal, N.J. The event was held at the 6,400 yard par-71 Deal Golf and Country Club and included Monmouth, Saint Peter's and Fairleigh Dickinson. The host Hawks posted a team score of 284 (E), followed by the Peacocks five-over 289, FDU's 292 (+8) and Lafayette's plus-13 (297).

The Leopards were led by freshman Doug Fernandez, who carded a plus-one 72 in the round. Fernandez finished tied for fourth among the competitors and the best round of his short collegiate career.

Sophomore Peter Gross shot a 73 (+2) on the afternoon, taking 37 strokes on the front nine and 36 on the back.

Matthew Kramer and Chris Resnik each totaled a five-over 76 in the match, contributing to the team total of 297.

Lafayette will use the MU Quad Match as a tune-up for this weekend's action at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, N.Y.
