Lafayette's B team stands in ninth place after the opening round of the 2013 Lafayette Invitational, led by sophomore Phil Rosengarden who recorded a three-over 75 on the par-72, 6,548-yard layout at Northampton Country Club.
The second and final round starts Monday, April 8 with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.
Saint Peter's leads the team scoring with a 302, one stroke ahead of Central Connecticut State (303) and Lehigh (303), and three in front of Army (305) and Monmouth (305). Lafayette's B team is nine strokes off the lead at 311 while the Leopards' A team is 15 strokes back at 317.
Individually, Rosengarden is in a six-way tie for 13th place, three shots back of Drexel's Christopher Crawford and Hofstra's Brandon Shin who both carded rounds of even-par 72.
The other scores for Lafayette's B team included Patrick Luther (T19 - 76), Josh Feinberg (T37 - 78) and Ben DeForest (T70 - 82).
Lafayette's A team is 14th after the opening round, led by Peter Gross (T19 - 76) and Mike Zausmer (T31 - 77). Chad Bell (T52 - 80), David Kafafian (T82 - 84), Doug Fernandez (T82 - 84) and Travis Ricca (T19 - 76) rounded out the Leopards' scores.
