Lafayette finished seventh at the Binghamton Fall Invitational, led by freshman Art Griffin at five-over (T23rd; 74-75--149) and senior Kirk Massie at eight-over (T35th; 75-77--152) on the par-72 Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y.
Host Binghamton took the team title, carding an even-par team score or 576 in the two-day event. Delaware finished three strokes back while Robert Morris ended up eight strokes back, Bucknell took fourth at +13 and Hofstra rounded out the top-five at +16. Kyle Wambold of Binghamton won the individual title at three-under 141, edging out three student-athletes at two-under.
Lafayette's other team scores included Robert Dyer (T41st; 72-81--153), Phil Rosengarden (T46th; 77-77--154) and Sam Aronoff (T51st; 81-74-155).
The Leopards next compete at reknowned Hamilton Farm Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 14 when they take on archrival Lehigh in third annual President's Cup match.
