HARRISBURG, Pa. -
Tom Kirchhoff `93, a Maroon Club Hall of Fame quarterback, was honored on Thursday in Harrisburg as part of a rally leading up to the 150th meeting of College Football's Most-Played Rivalry on Nov. 22 in Yankee Stadium.

The tour stop, which took place on Paxton Street in the Cleveland Brothers parking lot, was part of a road trip by alums Michael and Jenny Weisburger '82 who are traveling cross-country in a Lafayette-branded Airstream trailer. Their Nov. 1-15 trip is rallying Lafayette alumni, family and friends before the 150th Lafayette-Lehigh game.

Kirchhoff, Lafayette's third all-time leading passer, was named an honorary captain by Lafayette head coach Frank Tavani. The current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Cleveland Brothers was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2010 but will make the trip to the Bronx, N.Y. where more than 49,000 fans are expected to attend the 150th meeting.
