Philadelphia, Pa. - The Lafayette College fencing team competed in the Philadelphia Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Alex Gorloff led the way going 8-7.

Gorloff, Jake Burns and Brent Staples beat North Carolina 5-4 in the saber. Burns went 6-9 in the event. In the epee, David Shindell and Daniel Robitzski led the way winning three bouts apiece. While Conrad Stoerker, Jacob Mickey and David Jennings all picked up victories. Timothy Gaziano led the foil group with four wins, while Phillip Manna picked up a pair of wins on the afternoon.

The fencing team is back in action on Feb. 8.
