PRINCETON, N.J. - While a majority of Lafayette's cross country program competed at the Leopard Invitational, five from the women's team got a preview of the course for this year's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
Emily Moore led the group with a time of 23:31.00 at Saturday's Princeton Invitational, as Lafayette placed 21st out of 25 teams. Moore's result placed her 107th out of 206 runners, and it was only two second off her personal best time.
Alexa Kwapinski crossed the line in 24:07.00, which was good enough for 141st place. She was followed by Mikayla Pacilio (144th - 24:12.00), Isabella Maita (148th - 24:16.20) and Brigid McGill (182nd - 25:52.60).
Penn, which had three runners finish in the top 10, took first place at the meet with a team score of 71 points.
This year's regional race will take place on Friday, Nov. 13. Prior to that, the Leopards will run in the Patriot League Championships two weeks from today at Colgate.
