AMBLER, Pa. – The women's and men's cross country teams each took home second at the Temple Owls Invitational led by seniors Elizabeth Borah and Justin Brown, collecting third-place finishes.
For the women, Borah garnered third with a final time of 14:49.30. Sophomore Kendall Collier snagged sixth, finishing in 15:09.10. Rounding out the top five for the Leopards were freshmen Hazel Calway and Maeve McNamee and junior Bridget Shaver in 11th (15:30.90), 12th (15:33.30) and 13th (15:34.00), respectively.
On the men's side, Brown claimed third with a final time of 20:30.30. Senior Cole Chukoskie and freshman Ethan Buck achieved 10th and 11th, finishing in 20:50.20 and 20:51.20, consecutively. Closing out the top five, senior Titan Casey placed 14th (20:58.20) and sophomore Cole Scattergood ended in 24th (21.16.60).
Villanova enjoyed the team victory for the women with Payton Campbell from Monmouth grabbing the individual win. For the men, Temple secured first-place team honors led by Simeon Shappell-Smith and Noe' Sengel in first and second.
The Maroon and White resume competition at Lehigh for the annual Laf-Lehigh dual meet on Sept. 13 at 10 a.m.
