LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Leopards kicked off their 2026 cross country season, taking second at the Bucknell Preview. Juniors Kendall Collier and Anya Kazemi led the team, crossing the finish line in third and fourth place, respectively.
For the women, Collier claimed third with a final time of 14:03.00. Kazemi followed at 14:07.80. Lafayette's top five finishers also included sophomore Maeve McNamee (14:25.10), senior Ava Severino (14:29.30) and sophomore Braelyn Graham (14:32.80).
On the men's side, freshman Hudson Schunk garnered fifth with a final time of 19:12.20. Junior Cole Scattergood placed eighth, finishing in 19:32.90. Rounding out the Leopards' top five finishers were junior Alec Miner (19:37.70), freshman Evan Reidinger (19:40.80) and junior Josh Wagner (19:47.50).
Bucknell emerged victorious for both the women's and men's teams with senior Kailey Granger and junior Ethan Pratt-Perez securing first place.
The Maroon and White return home next Saturday at 5:30 p.m. to resume competition at the Lafayette Invite.Â
