EASTON, Pa. – The Leopards' Hudson Schunk was voted as the Patriot League Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Schunk placed fifth overall at the Lafayette Invite on Sept. 11 with a final time of 25:27.50. He garnered first out of 10 freshman athletes across all teams in the 8k. He also secured the team's top finishing time for the second consecutive meet, repeating his strong performance at the Bucknell Preview (Sept. 5).

Fellow rookie Grace Houlihan was selected as an honorable mention for her efforts on the women's side.

The Patriot League cross country players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Lafayette returns to College Hill to host Lehigh in a rivalry dual meet on Friday, Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m.
