Lafayette senior Patrick Luther led Lafayette to an eighth-place finish in the 2015 Binghamton Fall Invitational, earning a tie for 19th place overall with scores of 72 and 78 to finish at six-over 150 on the par-72 course at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y.
Delaware won the event with a team total of 580, edging out Rhode Island (582), Towson (590), St. Bonaventure (593), Binghamton (599) and Colgate (599). Delware's Jack Gianniny earned medalist honors with a four-under total of 140 (65-75).
Lafayette's Art Griffin tied for 23rd at seven-over 151 (73-78), while Chad Bell (T32; 73-79--152), James Frahm (T44; 74-79--153) and Patrick McGinley (T65; 78-81--157) rounded out the Leopards' team scores.
The Leopards next compete Tuesday, Oct. 13 in The President's Cup competition vs. arch rival Lehigh at renowned Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J.
