EASTON, Pa. - Prior to Friday night's Patriot League action with Navy, Lafayette honored its graduating seniors: Brianne Giangiobbe, Lauren Pisauro and Sarah Moult. Giangiobbe, known for her high-flying attacks, accrued 721 kills through 103 games with the Leopards. Pisauro, the two-year captain and libero, has gathered 1,471 digs through her four-year career while Moult is well-regarded for her defensive prowess on the court, accumulating 282 digs.

Navy swept the Leopards in their final home match of the season, winning 25-15, 25-18, 25-18 in Kirby Sports Center.

The first set told the story for the Leopards. Lafayette handed Navy an early lead and Navy scored seven straight points to lead 18-13. Two service aces by Navy's Rachel Fortner and Sydney Shearn, coupled with Leopard errors, put the set out of reach for Lafayette.

The second and third sets went similarly. The Mids (8-20, 6-9) were carried by Gaby Smith who racked up nine kills and 10 digs. Fortner finished with five service aces while Shearn had a 10 digs. For Lafayette, Pisauro completed her final home match with 15 digs. On the offensive end, Giangiobbe contributed six kills while Jet Manzi added five kills.

The Leopards (11-14, 3-11) will look to snap a five-game losing streak and end the season on a winning note when they travel to Hamilton, N.Y. for a 5 p.m. contest vs. Colgate.
