PRINCETON, N.J. – Lafayette cross country wrapped up its 2015 season at the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, with 12 Leopards competing in the meet hosted by Princeton University.

Emily Moore was Lafayette's top female runner for a third-consecutive meet, placing 105th out of 200 runners with a time of 23:20.6. Stephanie Benko followed in 125th after crossing the line in 23:41.8, and Brigid McGill was the third Leopard finisher in 166th at 24:47.5.

Mikayla Pacilio (169th – 24:57.0) and Kelly Reager (170th – 24:57.2) also scored for the Maroon and White, crossing the finish line with nearly identical times.

Penn State, which had all five of its scoring runners place in the top 21, took first place in the team standings, while Temple's Blanca Fernandez (20:52.0) was the top individual finisher. Lafayette registered a 26th place showing in the meet.

The men's team, running in a 10K race for the first time this fall, followed the women on the course, with Andrew Morra leading the way in 110th place after finishing up in 33:17.1. Kelvin Serem (33:31.3) was 14 seconds behind in 115th, while Matt Weintraub (33:52.8) was the third Leopard across the line in 129th.

Thomas Day (137th – 34:23.4) and David Sadvary (144th – 34:40.2) also ran for the Maroon and White, which placed 22nd overall.

Georgetown topped the men's team standings, with its top five runners all cracking the top 17. Villanova's Patrick Tiernan (30:15.8) was the number one finisher overall, finishing over 26 seconds ahead of the next-closest runner.

Lafayette's indoor track & field season is scheduled to begin at the Fast Times Meet, hosted by Lehigh on Saturday, Dec. 5.
