Leopards 11 Strokes Back at Wildcat Invite

Lafayette sophomore Robert Dyer fired an opening round 74 to lead four Leopards who shot in the 70s at the 2015 Wilcat Invitational hosted by Villanova at the 7,055-yard, par-71 White Manor Country Club. Lafayette sits just 11 strokes out of first place and is tied for ninth place heading into tomorrow's final round.

Leopard freshman Art Griffin is one stroke behind Dyer at 75, while sophomore Jared Mactas fired a 77 and freshman Sam Aranoff shot a 79. Also competing in the event for Lafayette are freshman James Frahm, who carded an opening round 80, and junior Travis Ricca, who firedan 83.

Delaware sits in first place and 10-over 294, while St. Joseph's is second at 295, Drexel is third at 297, Binghamton is fourth at 300, La Salle is fifth at 301, Villanova is sixth at 304 and Lafayette and Central Connecticut are tied for seventh at 307. Also competing in the event are Patriot League rivals Bucknell (14th; 320) and Lehigh (T9th; 307).
