Fencing Competes at NCAA Regionals

NCAA Regionals Results

Durham, N.C.
- Members of Lafayette's fencing team traveled to Duke University for the 2015 NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championship.

Freshman Alex Gorloff led the way for Lafayette in the event. Gorloff advanced to the third round of the men's saber to finish 16th overall. Joining him in the saber was Jake Burns who finished 24th.

David Shindell advanced to the second round in the men's epee before placing 21st overall. Brandon Smith led the men in the foil with a 32nd place finish, while Phillip Manna and Timothy Gaziano took 34th and 35th.

In the women's epee, Haley Mauriello advanced to the second round to tie for 21st. Allison Reich also competed in the epee and took 32nd. Rounding out the women at the regionals were Andrea Mitchell and Julia Sheng who took 29th and 20th, respectively, in the foil.
