Lafayette sophomore Robert Dyer and freshman Art Griffin both tied for 12th at the 2015 Wilcat Invitational hosted by Villanova at the 7,055-yard, par-71 White Manor Country Club, leading the Leopards to a seventh-place finish. Griffin carded a 71 and Dyer a 72 as each of the Leoaprds in the event shot in the 70s.
Sophomore Jared Mactas also finished in the top 20, firiing a 71 to finish tied for 16th. Freshman Sam Aronoff shot a 76 to finish tied for 49th while freshman James Frahm fired a 78 to finish tied for 60th and junior Travis Ricca carded a 76 to finish tied for 63rd.
Binghamton won the team competition at 13-over 581, while Delaware took second, Drexel ended up third, St. Joseph's fourth, Lehigh fifith and La Salle sixth. The Leopards finished at 27-over 595, 14 strokes behind the team champion.
Lafayette's next competition is the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitaional hosted by the Leopard at Silver Creek Country Club this weekend. The practice round is set for Saturday while the tournament rounds will be held Sunday and Monday.
