Lafayette senior Patrick Luther finished at 2-under to win medalist honors at the Bucknell Fall Invitational by three strokes over Bucknell's Zach Melnick. Luther finished at 138, firing rounds of 68 and 70 on the 6,224-yard, par-70 Bucknell Golf Club, leading the Leopards to a second-place team finish.
Robert Morris won the team title by two strokes over the Leopards, finishing at 14-over 574. Bucknell's A and B teams finished third and tied for fourth, respectively, while Humber College rounded out the top five by tying for fourth with Bucknell's B squad.
Lafayette's Art Griffin tied for fourth individually at 3-over 143 (70-73), while Chad Bell (T16; 73-74--147), James Frahm (T20; 74-74--148) and J.B. Bradbeer (T23; 77-74--151) rounded out Lafayette's team scores.
The Leopards next compete Sept. 24-26 in The Tuxedo Autumn Invitational hosted by Columbia at The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, N.Y.
